Follow the link to this story in today's Philly.com and you will find out about a program that has done a world of good for three UCity Alumni. Our alumni were able to be part of the first class to complete the program. Digital Connectors introduces students in the Philadelphia area to basic computer skills, networking, and computer repair. Students who complete the program leave with a Cisco Certification, training in personal finance and money management, and improved self-esteem. They also receive other incentives like digital camera's and even laptops in some cases. The classes are held only a couple of blocks away and if you are interested in participating, you can see Mr. Scribner in room 237 for an application. The next program starts in February, but they fill up very quickly. This program could provide a student with a springboard to a bright future and and the skills required to build a technology career!
